I can help you with anxiety, depression, grief and relationship issues and I provide a welcoming and nurturing environment for you to explore any problems or issues, past and present.
Are you looking for a safe space to speak your truth, to feel heard and understood and to help make sense of how you are feeling right now without judgement or criticism? Would you like a life coaching approach, to give you direction? Or are you searching for support whilst you find your own way? I can help you with both.
Previous to being a counsellor, I worked with women over 25 years in the health and wellbeing sector. During this time I had many women open up to me, revealing a variety of different issues they were going through and this lead me to realise that I wanted to learn new skills to be able to help them on a deep nurturing and empowering level. My job was giving me valuable experience and transferable skills that gave me the confidence to change career and train to become a counsellor.
Alongside my training I also trained and volunteered with Rape Crisis and Cruse. I started to understand that even when we have well meaning and supportive family and friends, therapy is different. I will give you the freedom to disclose without judgement, to speak from the heart and to express your feelings whilst I hold space for you.
I too have suffered judgement for my decisions, beliefs, ideas and self-expression alongside a sense of not belonging. I can see how valuable this unique relationship is.
Since my late teens I have had an interest in the body and mind connection. I have always believed that how we treat ourselves regarding nutrition, physical activity and the words we speak to ourselves and to others have a direct impact on how we feel and behave. We can choose to take responsibility for our health and we can start afresh anytime, it is never too late, if we can open to all ways of looking after ourselves, physically, mentally and emotionally.
As a result of these beliefs I regularly practice yoga, exercise, breathwork and mindfulness. I believe we can learn to heal ourselves if we live an honest and grateful life, believing that we are enough and that happiness is most definitely an inside job.
If you are unsure how I may be able to help, we can discuss your needs. Together we can work on a completely bespoke approach using my professional knowledge, life experiences and deep passion for empowering and supporting women.
WHAT YOU ARE NOT CHANGING YOU ARE CHOOSING.
How we work together:
By looking at you from a holistic perspective, I’ll help pinpoint areas of growth that will enhance both your mental and physical well-being. Together, we’ll explore all aspects of your being – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – to guide you towards greater clarity and strength
My approach is completely bespoke, drawing on my professional expertise, life experience, and my deep passion for empowering women. Through our work together, you’ll gain the tools to realise your true potential.
To stay aligned and centred in my own life, I regularly practice yoga, attend fitness classes and meditate daily. I’m also an avid reader, love spending time in nature, and enjoy walking my dog. My commitment to personal growth and inner freedom is the foundation of the work I do with.
