Grey Matters Centre

STUDENT PLACEMENTS

Grey Matters Centre is one of the U.K’s leading Mental Health Centres based in Ashby, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. We are a highly professional organisation of independent, passionate, outstanding Counsellors and Psychotherapists who are all members of Professional bodies such as BACP or NCS. We are now proudly in the process of supporting and setting up placements for Level 6 students who are committed to our mission and our passion, and are currently studying for their Counselling Degree.

This brings forward exciting opportunities for students to have placement sessions with differing client groups, and to join our team which gives valuable support whilst gaining the hours and experience required as part of their degree and going through the journey to become professional Counsellors or Psychotherapists.

All clients interested in our service will be assessed for their needs and matched based on suitability and availability to the students. They will then be placed where the student will go ahead and conduct their own assessment in the first session. If at anytime during the therapy journey it becomes apparent the clients presenting issues are not within the students competencies, they will be asked to be referred to an experienced therapist who works within these areas.

We are offering a low-cost therapy service to the public who are financially challenged, which means we can proudly help and reach more people, giving them somewhere to turn to, to have hope, reach their goals  and live their lives the way they want to.

SESSIONS

Sessions are 50 minutes long and to be held on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

FEE’s

Our low-cost therapy sessions are £25 and are to be paid at the time of the appointment bookings.

If you would like more details to apply for a placement with us at Grey Matters Centre please get in touch with us and ask for Louise Fenton at admin@greymatterscentre.co.
