Bereavement/Grief/Loss
When we have a loss this can include: a person, a relationship breakup, a job etc. The feelings we go through in response to a loss is called grief and the period after the loss is called bereavement.
Some people will have different symptoms and grieve for different lengths of time than another person and that is okay as there is no right way as each person grieves in their own unique way.
Some symptoms may include
How we can help
No matter what you are feeling we can listen to you as you talk about your feelings. We can help you make sense of them and help you to understand they are a natural part of the grieving process. This can include seeing, hearing or smelling your loved one, or perhaps feeling some relief after a long, painful illness has been suffered. Even knowing that grief can have many ups and downs and not being able to recognise where you are can help you with feelings of helplessness or confusion.
There are other situations which can make grieving terribly difficult, such as long illnesses, difficult relationships or suicide. We are here to listen to you as you go through your grieving process.
