[MASTER] Therapist Booking Form

Hello I am Sharon

I work as an integrative counsellor, blending different theories, ideas and ways of working to meet you where you are and lead you where you want to be.

I’ve worked with lots of clients who have lost their way. Clients who had lost sight of who they are or maybe had never really truly known themselves. Clients who had lost their confidence and self esteem. Clients who felt shut down, ignored, silenced, invisible. Sometimes big life changes (and the small ones) can take away our identity, our path, our purpose and it’s really hard to find those things again or to acknowledge to ourselves that new ones are needed. Change can be scary and unsettling.

Do you want support to work out who you are or to find yourself? Do you want help to work out what might be next? Do you want support to make time count? Do you want to work with a counsellor who sees you and hears you? Do you want a therapist who has shared your experiences and understands?

Taking the opportunity to rest and re-set is essential. Together we can explore the little steps that will enable you to take the bigger steps. I offer a time to pause and reflect before we move forward together towards whatever is next for you. I will help you decide what is “now” and what is “later”, prioritising goals and obtaining balance.

I can see the big picture. I can see an intention. I can summarise a goal. I can hear what you don’t hear when you tell your story. I can hear a doubt and help you look for self belief. I can help you to find you. Once you know who you are, then what you want and what you need are easier to discover.

There are many different paths to explore in life and life’s journey does not have just one straight road. There are roundabouts. There are bends in the road. There are crossroads and t-junctions. There are blind-summits and single track roads. But there are also rest areas and picnic stops and beautiful scenery.

Clients I have worked with have come to know that they have choices, opportunities, confidence, ability, independence, strength, love, something to offer. I have worked with people who have changed their path, made life choices, strengthened their relationships, Clients who have worked with me have been able to discover who they are and what they need and I have worked with them so they are able to express those needs and enrich their lives. Clients who work with me have been enabled to see the small details in their lives that make up the bigger picture and have been able to transition to the next stage – whatever that was.

I would love to work with you to empower you.

A little bit about me – just so you know. In my personal life, I have experienced many things – loss, relationship breakdowns, bereavement, financial difficulties, anxiety, depression, sleep issues. The day-to-day struggles of balancing and juggling work, home and family. But here I am, still upright and still breathing and still evolving. My biggest personal achievement is leading my two daughters to womanhood, enabling them to find their own paths and helping them to acquire the life skills they need to go forward into their adult lives. I have helped them to understand that you don’t need to know the answer to everything but you have to want to search for it. They understand the need for balance and the importance of the ‘re-set button’. They know the importance of self-care, good sleep and eating plenty of broccoli.

How we work together:

Our initial session will be an assessment  so I can find out lots of important information about you and what has brought you to counselling. We will also work through a contract so you are informed about how I work. The assessment will provide us with a foundation for our relationship and will help me to think about how we might like to use future sessions.

We will review the sessions periodically to see how things are progressing and we can also use these reviews to adjust any goals or change the things we are focusing on.

Don’t worry if you aren’t really sure what your focus should be for our sessions or if you don’t have  a ready-made set of goals. We can work on that as we progress and discover together. As I said above, I work as an integrative counsellor which just means that I will adapt how I work to suit your needs.

I have had both of my Covid vaccinations and my booster.
