[MASTER] Therapist Booking Form

SPECIALISING IN TRAUMA

Life after trauma can feel lonely, confusing, and heavy. You might be doing your best to manage, but inside you still feel anxious, low or disconnected – as thought something is missing.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happened, and begin to reconnect with yourself.

This is a place for people who have experienced complex trauma, anxiety, depression, personality difficulties, eating disorders, chronic illness or discrimination – anyone who wants to feel safe, seen and supported again.

My approach is trauma-informed psychotherapy, grounded in compassion, trust, and collaboration.

For some, words alone aren’t enough – thats why I offer art psychotherapy, a gentle and creative way to express feelings and memories that may be hard to put into language.

Who I work with:

  • You might relate to one or more of the following:
  • You’ve experienced trauma or loss that still affects your daily life.
  • You live with anxiety, depression, or emotional overwhelm.
  • You struggle with identity, self-worth or relationships.
  • You’re faced with discrimination, illness or exclusion.
  • You want to heal but aren’t sure where to start.

I work inclusively with adults of all ages, respecting every aspect of your identity – including cultural background, faith, sexual orientation, gender identity and neurodiversity.

Our first session is a gentle conversation about where you are now and what you need most. From there, we’ll shape a plan that feels supportive and achievable for you.

Whether you’re completely new to therapy or have tried before, you’re welcome here. If something in this feels familiar – the exhaustion, the overthinking, the need for peace – this could be the first step toward change.

How we work together:

Providing psychotherapy using conversational methods I aim to help individuals who have experienced past traumas, mental illness, and psychological distress. My psychotherapy approach explores the unconscious mind to understand emotional difficulties at a deeper level. By gaining self-awareness and insight into how past experiences impact present thoughts, feelings and behaviour, you can achieve clarity and relief from psychological pain.

I am also trained in Art psychotherapy which uses art-making and discussion to explore difficult unconscious processes, experiences and feelings, which can be particularly helpful for those who find it challenging to express themselves verbally or have trauma-related memories that are more accessible through visual or tactile experiences.

Expertise and Experience: With over 10 years of experience in both private and public sectors, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my practice.

Tailored approach: Adapting my methods based on a sensitive assessment of each client’s unique needs, ensuring personalised and effective therapy.

Diverse Techniques: Providing psychotherapy utilising both conversational methods and art-making practices. When appropriate, I incorporate integrative approaches to recommend targeted coping strategies for particular concerns.

Inclusive and Respectful: During initial consultation, creating a formulation that respects age, ethnic background, culture, sexual orientation, LGBTQ identity, and religious preferences.

Deep understanding: Using a psychological approach that explores the unconscious mind to understand emotional difficulties at a deeper level, helping clients gain self-awareness and insights into how past experiences impact present thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.

Art Psychotherapy: A unique form of therapy uses art making and  discussion to explore difficult experiences and feelings, which can be particularly helpful for those who find it challenging to express themselves verbally or have trauma-related memories that are more accessible through visual or tactile experiences.
