Hello and welcome.
Wherever you are right now finding the strength to reach out for support I am thankful.
If you have found yourself suffering from anxiety, low mood, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, stress related behaviours, emotional dysregulation, the impact of trauma, fears or phobias or just finding life in general difficult right now then I am hopeful you have taken the right step in seeking support.
This step you are taking may have been a difficult one yet I believe that this could also be a hugely rewarding one for you and is, without a doubt, a courageous step to take.
It has always been an honour to work with such courage: an honour to be invited into your life at a time when you maybe want to hide away from your grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-confidence and a lack of self-worth. An honour to be asked to witness, share and support your pain and the impact this may be having on you, your family and your relationships.
Whatever you are experiencing right now, I believe that my work as an integrative therapist using a range of research and theories will, have a positive impact and allow you to feel stronger in the face of challenges. We will work together to recognise behaviours which hold you back, to heal pains from the past, to consider healthier mind-sets and to strengthen your self-confidence.
No matter what it is you are experiencing, I provide an environment which is safe, warm and kind for everyone and as a committed therapist I will ensure our work takes place with your specific needs in mind. A space which is free from judgement, truly empathic, working to build mutual understanding and trust because through trust and understanding, I believe we can grow.
My goal is to support you in doing just that, to grow, to evolve, and to let go. To accept and to develop the skills you need to support yourself long term because let’s face it, few of us wish to be in therapy forever.
However, sometimes accessing therapy “IS” the answer and is the reason my deep passion continues. A passion, as a human being to support another. To play a significant role in making a difference in minimising your symptoms and maximising your daily function.
My experience as a Counsellor and Mental Health Specialist over a number of years has afforded me the opportunity to work with all aspects of mental health and the devastating impact this can have on individuals lives. I have experience working in demanding, emotionally charged environments with trauma, abuse, victims of crime and I am suicice ASSIST trained.
How we work together
To begin your journey with me and to start living the life you envision then please do not hesitate to reach out. An initial appointment will be made for an in depth 50 minute assessment. This will ensure I have a good understanding of your presenting issues and will ensure that you are comfortable to start your journey with me. Just like building relationships outside of therapy, I believe that having an open, honest and trusting therapeutic client/counsellor is also important which will inform the work that we do. Furthermore, this is an opportunity for you to discuss any goals you have and to explore any concerns you may have about the therapeutic process.
I look forward to working with you when you feel that you are ready.
N.B. I have had both of my Covid vaccinations and my booster.
