Meet Sharon
Support for adults feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed or disconnected
If you’ve reached a point where life feels heavy, overwhelming, or difficult to connect with in the way it once did, you’re not alone. Many people come to therapy not because something dramatic has happened, but because they no longer feel like themselves, and they’re unsure where to begin.
Sometimes people come to therapy during obvious periods of change or crisis. Other times, it’s imply the feeling that life has become emotionally heavy, overwhelming, or difficult to navigate alone.
From the outside, you may appear to be coping well whilst internally feeling exhausted, disconnected, flat or emotionally stuck.
I’m Sharon, an integrative counsellor supporting adults who want space to pause, reflect and gently make sense of what they’re carrying. You don’t need to have clear goals or the right words before you start. Noticing that something isn’t sitting right is enough.
How therapy with me can help
Therapy offers a calm, supportive space where you can understand feelings of emptiness, low mood, emotional exhaustion or disconnection. Sometimes people come to therapy not because they’ve stopped functioning, but because they’re tired of surviving life rather than feeling connected to it.
Together, therapy can help you to:
- Make sense of who you are and what you need now
- Rebuild confidence and self-belief
- Navigate life changes, transitions, or uncertainty
- Find balance between competing demands
- Reconnect with your values, direction and sense of self
Often it’s the small, thoughtful steps that create the most meaningful and lasting change.
How we work together:
My approach is integrative and collaborative, blending different therapeutic perspectives so that counselling meets you where you are. I work at a pace that feels manageable, supporting reflection, understanding and gradual change rather than quick fixes.
Clients often tell me that I help them see the bigger picture – gently noticing patterns, hearing what sits beneath the words, and reflecting back what may be difficult to recognise alone. As clarity grows, decisions tend to feel more grounded and life more intentional.
Clients often describe feeling emotionally clearer, more grounded, and better able to understand the patters that have been keeping them stuck.
My approach
My work is integrative and collaborative, shaped around you rather than a fixed way of working. I offer a calm, empathic and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences safely and honestly.
I work at a pace that feels. manageable, supporting reflection, understanding and gradual change rather than pressure or quick solutions.
A little about me
Like many people, my own life has included challenges – loss, relationship breakdowns, anxiety, low mood and sleep difficulties, alongside the ongoing balancing act of work, home, and family life. These experiences shape how I work: with realism, compassion, and an understanding that life can be messy as well as meaningful.
One of my greatest personal achievements has been raising my two daughters – supporting them to find their own paths, build resilience, and learn the importance of balance, rest, and self-care.
I believe you don’t need to have all the answers – only a willingness to explore them.
A particular area I feel deeply passionate about is supporting parents of children experiencing school-related distress and school avoidance.
As a parent myself, I understand how isolating, exhausting and misunderstood this experience can become. Many parents find themselves caught between worry for their child, pressure from the systems around them, and the emotional toll of trying to hold everything together whilst feeling judged or unsupported.
Often, the focus becomes simply getting a child back into school, while very little attention is given to the fear, overwhelm, guilt and helplessness families may be carrying underneath it all.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space for parents to talk honestly about what this experience is like, emotionally and practically, and to feel supported rather than blamed.
