Meet Richard Trainee Therapist

Supporting adults through anxiety, overthinking and low self-esteem

You might not have the words for how you’re feeling – just a sense that things feel harder than they should.

Maybe your mind doesn’t switch off.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed by everyday life.

Maybe you’re constantly overthinking, exhausted, or struggling to keep up.

Or perhaps you’ve always felt a little different – and you’re starting to wonder why.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to work it out alone.

I’m Richard, a trainee integrative counsellor offering low-cost therapy for adults. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and begin to feel more like yourself again.

A space where you don’t have to explain yourself

Starting therapy can feel daunting – expecially if you’re used to managing things on your own or not feeling fully understood.

I offer a space that is:

  • calm and steady
  • non-judgemental
  • pressure-free
  • led by you

You don’t need the right words.

You don’t need a diagnosis.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

We simply start with where you are.

Alongside my professional training, I bring personal understanding of feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stretched, or “different.” This helps me work in a way that feels real, human, and easy to engage with.

How therapy with me can help

Many of the people I work with come feeling:

  • overwhelmed or mentally exhausted
  • anxious, low or stuck
  • caught in overthinking or self-doubt
  • struggling with confidence or self-worth
  • unsure why things feel harder than they should
  • navigating work, relationships or daily stress

Some are also exploring ADHD, autism or neurodiversity – while others simply want to feel more in control of their thoughts and emotions.

Together we can focus on:

  • understanding what’s going on beneath the surface
  • reducing overwhelm and mental pressure
  • building confidence and self-trust
  • finding ways to cope that actually work for you

This isn’t about finding you.

It’s about understanding you.

How we will work together

I work integratively with a humanistic approach, which means:

  • therapy is centred around you
  • we move at your pace
  • the space is collaborative, not clinical
  • you don’t have to perform or mask

You can be honest here – even when things feel messy or unclear.
