Meet Vicky
SPECIALISING IN TRAUMA
If life has felt overwhelming, unsettling, or shaped by experience that still affects you now, you don’t have to face that alone. You may be carrying the impact of past trauma, struggling with your sense of safety, confidence or identity, or feeling unsure how to move forward – even if you can’t yet put it into words.
I offer a welcoming, compassionate space where you can feel heard, seen and valued for who you are. Our work begins with where you are now, at a pace that feels safe for you. You don’t need to have clear goals or a plan – we can take the time to understand what you’re experiencing and what you want life to feel like moving forward.
My approach
I am an integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, working primarily from a Humanistic perspective. This means I work with the whole of you, not just symptoms or diagnoses, and I place great importance on the therapeutic relationship we build together.
With over ten years’ experience supporting adults who have experienced trauma, I work in a way that is grounded in trust, compassion, transparency and respect. While these values are central to my work, how they show up will be shaped around you – your story, your needs, your preferences and what feels most supportive.
I believe recovery is about more than symptom reduction. You deserve a life that feels meaningful, grounded and authentic, with a growing sense of self-worth and inner stability.
How therapy can help
Therapy can offer space to explore experiences from both the past and present, including trauma related to childhood, relationships or sexual violence. Together we may work towards greater emotional regulation, improved self-esteem, strengthened boundaries, and a deeper understanding of how your experiences have shaped you.
Our work is always flexible and kept under review. We can adapt how we work together as your needs evolve, ensuring the process remains personalised, responsive and supportive of your goals.
What working together is like:
There is no fixed pathway or expectation. Some people come to therapy wanting space to be heard and understood, while others are ready to create change – and many experience a combination of both over time
I will bring professional knowledge and therapeutic skill, but you will remain central to the process. You are encouraged to share what feels helpful, when it doesn’t, and what you would like more or less of. Therapy is a collaborative process, shaped around you.
