Meet Louise

SPECIALISING IN TRAUMA

If you’re experiencing flashbacks, nightmares, dissociation, zoning out, urges to self harm, disordered eating, relationship difficulties, anxiety, mood swings, unexplained physical pain, tics or ongoing stress-related issues, you are in the right place. I want you to know that healing is absolutely possible.

I offer a safe, compassionate and deeply trauma-informed space where you can feel heard, understood and supported. Together, we will explore how your current struggles make sense in the context of what you have lived through. Every response, behaviour and coping strategy has a reason – and through a trauma-informed lens, we can understand these with care rather than judgement.

My Approach

I work with all parts of you – including the parts you may find confusing, overwhelming or difficult to understand. These parts developed to protect you, often during painful or unsafe moments. By gently getting to know them, understand their intentions, and supporting the healing beneath them, it becomes possible to move from automatic reactions to conscious, empowered choices.

I work at a pace that feels safe, and right for you. You will not be pushed, rushed or expected to revisit anything before you feel ready. You won’t be alone in this process – I will support you throughout.

This work can bring greater internal stability, emotional regulation and a deeper sense of harmony – both within yourself and in your relationships.

How Therapy Can Help

I offer a deep level of trauma-focused therapy, that works with the mind, body and nervous system. Using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, therapy can help reduce distress, support nervous system regulation, and gently release trauma held for a long time.

Alongside this, talking therapy provides space to explore beliefs, patterns and personal narratives – bringing clarity, meaning and emotional relief.

I have many years experience supporting adults with complex trauma and long-term emotional difficulties. I work daily with trauma-related patterns and have witnessed truly life-changing transformations in the people I support.

Each year, I help many individuals to move towards healing, recovery and a life that feels more aligned, stable and fulfilling.

Working together:

The initial assessment lasts 50 minutes. During this session, we will explore your history, what you are experiencing now and what you would like life to look like after therapy. You will have space to ask any questions and ensure the approach feels right for you.

Your therapy will be tailored to your individual needs. Together, we may work towards:

  • Understanding the root cause of your difficulties
  • Recognising triggers and patterns
  • Supporting emotional regulation and nervous system safety
  • Working with internal parts and protective responses
  • Reducing trauma responses and reactivity
  • Strengthening inner resources and coping strategies
  • Supporting lasting, sustainable recovery

You are always welcome to use therapy for stabilisation, safety or life enhancement only, without engaging in trauma processing until you feel fully ready.

Therapeutic Approaches

I work integratively, drawing on approaches including:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • EMDR
  • Flash Technique
  • Rewind Technique
  • Brainspotting

This whole-system, mind-body approach supports deep and lasting healing while remaining gentle and carefully paced.

You are completely welcome to access therapy for stabilisation, safety and life enhancement only, without doing any trauma processing until you feel fully ready.
