Meet Sarah
My name is Sarah and I specialise in supporting children (10+) and teens who feel anxious, find school difficult, struggle with friendships or family relationships, or are living with ADHD or Autism. I also work with adults who feel worried, low in mood, stuck in sadness, or are healing from difficult past experiences. Together let’s build confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
I am an experienced, multi-disciplined therapist specialising in child and family work, with over 16 years dedicated to supporting children”s emotional wellbeing. My journey began with Relax Kids and Forest School, before moving into counselling and establishing my own private pratice, over 10 years ago. Since then, I have worked extensively across schools in North Lincolnshire, offering one-to-one sessions for children from Year 1 upwards, extending my practice to children, family, university students and adults in a private setting.
I hold a FdA in Counselling (University of Hull) and a BSc in Health and Social Care (University of Lincoln), alongside specialist training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP Levels 1 and 2). My experience includes working with foster and adoption families in Hull, where I developed systemic insight into attachment and relational healing. (Below is a full overview of my qualifications to date).
You don't need to be certain to begin.
In 2021, I was invited to write and deliver a 10-week Creative Arts course on understanding mental health for Key Stage 1-3 children affected by domestic violence, in collaboration with the Hull DAP team. This project reflects my passion for combining creativity with therapeutic practice to make emotional wellbeing accessible and empowering.
I also hold a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector, which enriches my ability to understand children’s learning stile and support them in building confidence and self-esteem. This is particularly valuable when working with neurodiverse children – around 90% of my clients are ADHD, ASD, or AuDHD – helping them explore identity, improve learning outcomes, and thrive in both educational and personal contexts.
My practice is grounded in empathy, creativity, and a commitment to helping children and families flourish.
You can change therapist, pause or reschedule at any point.
