Hello and welcome
At this moment in time for reasons only known to you, guided by strength to reach out for support. I am thankful you have taken such a brave step for yourself.
Embarking on this difficult journey can feel scary yet remaining the same can feel safe. I assure you this will be a courageous step into your future and finding your true self.
By working together you will find your voice, build self-worth, and gain confidence as you learn to understand yourself again. As a therapist, I am always humbled by those who share their feelings of pain and raw emotion as they untangle events that impact their lives.
I feel honesty is very important to building a therapeutic relationship, so I don’t mind sharing that I have been in darkness due to life events, feeling hopeless and not finding support yet this is where I found my vocation and my true passion for helping others. I am a survivor and proof that therapy is successful.
What makes me unique? I am facinated by the variety of human experiences and eager to discover more about you as we sit together as I attentively listen to you exploring how life is having an impact stopping you from moving forward. Colleagues have discribed me as a natural empath and show genuine care for people.
How we work together,
Most importantly I want you to feel at ease so, I am offering you a safe space in comfortable surroundings. In this space, you will feel secure knowing there is no judgement which will enable you to express and explore your feelings building trust between us.
Using theory and research, I will tailor your therapeutic experience to your needs and help you understand the barriers and behaviours that hold you back from progression. Together we can understand the events that have impacted your life and use your strength and courage to overcome the things that are holding you back.
As your therapist, I want to understand, empower, sit with you in your darkness, and watch your progression as you evolve and accept the past.
In my experience as a Mental Health Specialist and Counsellor, I feel blessed to have worked with truly courageous and wonderful individuals and continue to do so. There is no exception when it comes to mental health, I am here for you.
Example: Feelings of anxiety? I can help you by being patient as you talk about your worries and share some backgrund to give you some understanding of how it feels for you. I will ask you to describe the feelings and where in the body you feel them too, all at your pace whilst respecting your boundaries. I will show you im with you each step of the way by actively listening, empathising and feeding back your words to you, building trust together. You can start by taking small steps, this is your therapy and within this safe space you will feel calm which helps and soothes anxiety. We will discuss your fears and also challenge them one step at a time by understanding your thoughts and feelings attached to them.
If you would like to start your journey to self-fulfilment you’ve already taken the first step in acknowledging this is the right time for you. Reach out and an individual appointment will be made for assessment, this is so I can understand a bit more about you and your presenting issues. Try to be reassured I will help you feel at ease, to feel comfortable and look forward to the next step in your journey. You can express any concerns you may have regarding therapy and share goals you’d like to achieve.
