I offer a professional counselling service for children from the age of 5 years old, working with a wide variety of life challenges.

I qualified in 2013 and has worked extensively with young people and those who have suffered varying degrees of sight loss.

I use Transactional Analysis and employing a combination of play therapy and the more traditional talking therapies, CBT and Psychodynamic, to create a person centred approach to gain the best outcome for each client.

I put the client in the driving seat when developing the treatment plan and I feel that counselling is not about providing advice or answers, or quick fixes, I feel its about facilitating your journey.

Counselling is your opportunity to talk freely, and confidentially to a trained professional about your concerns, whether they are painful life events, trauma, personal or professional issues.

I feel my role is to support you during your exploration of your feelings and to help you gain an understanding that will enable you to develop your own resources, ones that you can use for years to come.

Every day situations can contribute to feelings of confusion, distress and anxiety, feelings that may have their roots in past events. Creating a feeling of constant exhaustion from wading through quicksand just to manage the basics of life.

How we work together:
In the initial meeting a treatment plan will be formulated for clients to gain the best outcome for them.

I use a Psychodynamic approach and incorporates techniques such as CBT, Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, these are introduced into the sessions often without the client knowing which is being used allowing the sessions to unfold according to the clients needs at that time.

N.B. I have had both of my Covid vaccinations and my booster.
