[MASTER] Therapist Booking Form

Let’s face it, we all have a bad day now and again. But when a bad day turns into a bad week, month or year then we have a problem. Yet so often the solution to that problem is simply finding an achievable method of getting from where we are today to where we want to be. “Easier said than done”, I can almost hear you say.

In my practice, that presents an opportunity for you and I too slowly unravel the most pressing challenges in your life, and together find an appropriate action plan for your needs. I am dedicated these problems so you have a happier and more rewarding life. Science has shown us that mind, body and soul/spirit connections go hand in hand. However, it is less widely known that our physical condition, health or illnesses can alter our mental state and vice versa. In addition to years of studying the human mind I also have extensive background in nursing, pharmacology and therapy with NHS mental health patients. First hand experience has brought me to the conclusion that the individual cannot be successfully treated for the mind or the body only.

How we work together:
Recognising the mind-body and soul connection, I integrate various methods and therapies into my sessions. We will approach the problem from many different angles. I could lay down specific therapies, qualifications and abbreviations to make me sound educated and sophisticated, but none of this would explain how we are going to work together  in a human, face to face way. Because this depends entirely on the challenges you are currently facing, your mental, emotional and physical state. We are all a complex combination of our previous life experiences and our physical and mental state. Our beliefs and values play a key role as do the limitations impressed upon us by others, such as parents, siblings, teachers and partners. It is so important to appreciate that we are not defined by up-bringing, marital status or who we were yesterday: the important thing is continuously move forward to improve ourselves to be a better spouse, mother, son or friend tomorrow.

When you choose to work with me, you will experience a compassionate and non-judgemental environment where your voice is truly heard. Through a thorough assessment we will explore your ongoing difficulties and relevant history to better understand your situation. The human connection is key to our meetings; lists of qualifications and text book study provide by backbone of resources, but listening carefully and reacting to the unique needs of every client that lets me produce bespoke, effective solutions. Together we will identify the areas you want to address and set meaningful goals for therapy, envisioning the life you desire. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy elements, relaxing techniques and common sense I can teach you effective emotional regulation skills and coping mechanisms for the present and future. As part of CBT therapy you will leave each session with homework to do. You will be relieved to know that, unlike back in your school day, the homework will only bring more pleasure and relaxation in your day to day life and enable you to keep making continuous progress between our meetings.

My goal is to guide you towards long-lasting recovery while at all times respecting your individual pace and needs. Together we will tap into your strength to overcome challenges and create the stable, peaceful and uplifting life that you have always wanted. I know that soon after we confront and tackle these obstacles you will feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off your shoulders and seeing this happen so many times has been perhaps the most rewarding part of my job.

So, if you are ready to take the first step towards taking control and healing your situation reach out to me today to begin the journey.

We all have our bitter lessons in life. We can now learn there is no limit to kindness, compassion, positivity, understanding and that wonderful feeling of well-being? I certainly believe that together we can and I look forward very much to meeting you.
