Hello, and welcome.
Wherever you are right now finding the strength to reach out for support, I am thankful.
This step you are taking may have been a difficult one yet I believe that this could also be a hugely rewarding one for you and is, without a doubt, a courageous step to take.
It has always been an honour to work with such courage; an honour to be invited into your life at a time when you maybe want to hide away from your grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-confidence and lack of self-worth. An honour to be asked to witness, share and support your pain and the impact this may be having on you, your family and your relationships.
How we work together
Whatever you are experiencing right now, I believe that my work as an integrative therapist using a range of research and theories will have a positive impact and will allow you to feel stronger in the face of challenges. We will work together to recognise behaviours which hold you back, to heal pains from the past, to consider healthier mind-sets and to strengthen your self-confidence.
My goal is to support you in doing just that, to grow, to evolve, to find and to let go. To accept and to develop the skills you need to support yourself long term because let’s face it, few of us wish to be in therapy forever.
However, sometimes accessing therapy “IS” the answer and is the reason my deep passion continues. A passion, as a human being to support another. To play a significant role in making a difference in minimising your symptoms and maximising your daily functioning.
My experience as a Counsellor and Mental Health Specialist over a number of years has afforded me the opportunity to work with all aspects of mental health and the devastating impact this can have on individuals lives. I have experience working in demanding, emotionally charged environments with trauma, abuse, victims of crime, and I am suicide ASSIST trained.
To begin your journey with me and to start living the life you envision then please do not hesitate to reach out. An initial appointment will be made for an assessment . This will ensure I have a good understanding of your presenting issues and will ensure that you are comfortable to start your journey with me. Furthermore, this is an opportunity for you to discuss any goals you have and to explore any concerns you may have about the therapeutic process.
I continue to build my skillset to ensure a continued level of professionalism in my work and will offer sessions as an accredited Menopause wellbeing practitioner from April 2024.
N.B. I have had both of my Covid vaccinations and my booster.
